Her first record for Atlantic arrives September 18, and the singer is now billed without a surname.

Miley Cyrus has announced her tenth studio album, Bass Persuades, and two headline nights at the Hollywood Bowl. The record arrives on September 18 and marks her first release through Atlantic Records. She is now billed simply as Miley.

Stereogum's Tom Breihan read the name change as an implicit rebuke of her father, the country singer Billy Ray Cyrus, while noting she has said nothing about it publicly. She has said little about the album either, beyond a 30-second teaser of herself swinging an electric guitar over music no guitar is audibly playing.

"Heart full, heartache, every part of life in between. That's what the title means to me," she wrote in the announcement post, thanking listeners for making her wildest dreams come true.

The ten-song tracklist runs from the title track through "Different Religion", which features the Boston band Model/Actriz, to "Neon Signs" with Andrew Wyatt of Miike Snow, and closes on a remix of the opener. Model/Actriz frontman Cole Haden had already appeared on her last album. It is listed on the release calendar.

The Hollywood Bowl dates on October 16 and 18 carry more weight than a normal announcement, because they are her first full US concerts since 2021. She told her followers the Bowl is her favourite place to see music and that she had sat in those seats many times without taking the stage. In 2024 she had said she had the ability and the opportunity to tour but wished she had the desire.

Bass Persuades follows Something Beautiful, released in May 2025, and her label says the new era honours the influence of her godmother Dolly Parton. The pop singer's tribute after Parton's death at 80 described their last conversations, and the venue she is returning to has just had its biggest sound upgrade in a generation.
