Oso Oso have announced An Exchange of Information, and the album will be the first record released by Feral Twin, the new label founded by Hop Along drummer Mark Quinlan. Pitchfork reported a November 6 release date for the Long Island band, whose lead single "Know You Know Me Better" is out now.
Quinlan has spent his working life across several sides of independent music, as a musician, an agent, a talent buyer and a booker. He said in a press statement that Feral Twin grew out of wanting to build something intentional where every release matters.
He added that he is not interested in putting out records to fill a schedule, and wants the label to be a home for music and ideas he believes in, made by artists he respects. Signing Oso Oso as the first act sets the tone: an established indie name with a following rather than an unknown quantity.
The album is Jade Lilitri's first full-length under the Oso Oso name since Life Till Bones in 2024. Twelve tracks are listed, and the cover art carries a giraffe.
Lilitri will tour North America through October and November behind the record, with Leisure Hour and Bad Luck opening on the East Coast and Liquid Mike and Bugsy on the western dates.
Label launches by working musicians have become a regular feature of the rock underground, sitting alongside the imprint and publishing moves logged in stories such as Warner Music's new Berlin frontline label and Kevin Monahan's publishing deal with Eclipse.
