Phoebe Bridgers released a video for "I Can't Wait," directed by Chris Maggio and Pablo Rochat, DIY reported. The clip follows the point of view of a fly taking in the bustling streets of Los Angeles, and it is the second video from the album after lead single "Lost Boys."
"I Can't Wait" comes from Lost Weekend, Bridgers' third album and her first in six years, released via Dead Oceans. Pitchfork's review of the track calls it "a mini-laser light opera" in the album's dolorous back half, built around a mandolin part from Chris Thile.
The video's release lines up with the wider rollout of Lost Weekend, an album that draws on contributors from Mike Kinsella to Alex G across its tracklist, including Alex G's own contribution, who joined the record around the same time he was scoring a Jane Schoenbrun film.
Bridgers is playing a run of intimate UK shows this week before her full international Lost Tour begins next month. Most of her UK dates and a long list of North American arena shows on the tour are already sold out, part of this week's new indie coverage.
