Coachella has not published a poster for 2027, but the rumour season around it has started early. HITS Daily Double, the industry trade sheet that has broken this list before, reports that Tame Impala and Dua Lipa are expected to headline the Indio festival next April, with Fred again.. pencilled in for the slot at the bottom of the poster that has historically gone to a dance act.
None of it is confirmed. The festival has said nothing, and the acts named have said nothing, which is the normal state of affairs at this point in the calendar. The lineup used to arrive in January; last year the poster went up on September 16, so a September report is landing right where a poster would.
If the report holds, it would be Tame Impala's fifth Coachella. Kevin Parker's band played in 2011, 2013 and 2015 and headlined in 2019, previewing a small amount of The Slow Rush before that record arrived. Fred again.. has a headline credit of a sort already: he closed Weekend 2 in 2023 alongside Skrillex and Four Tet after Frank Ocean pulled out. Dua Lipa has never played the festival at all, and by April 2027 it will be three years since her last album, so a debut would likely come with new material attached.
That leaves one slot. HITS Daily Double names BTS, SZA, Oasis and Radiohead as the acts being pursued for it, and rates SZA as the likeliest of the four. Miley Cyrus was reportedly approached and turned the offer down.
The bookings would also continue a pattern EDM.com has been tracking: dance acts made up 45% of the 2026 lineup, up from 39% in 2025. Two of the three names in this report sit on the electronic side of that count in different ways, one as a producer and one as a rock band whose live show has leaned on synths and long grooves for a decade.
Coachella 2027 runs April 9-11 and April 16-18 at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California. The full bill is expected in the coming weeks.
