Rochelle Jordan has kicked off a five-EP remix series called Disc 1-5, drawing on songs from her album Through The Wall, SoulBounce reported on August 3. The first release pairs a Ron Trent remix of the track "I'm Your Muse" with reworks of "Get It Off" by Honey Dijon and "Ladida" by Halogenix, alongside another version of "I'm Your Muse" from her longtime collaborator KLSH.
Through The Wall arrived last year and became a sold-out tour for the singer, pushing her further into dance music alongside her R&B and soul roots. Ron Trent's remix reworks the song's original downtempo house groove with new synths and drum programming, stretching the track to nearly eight minutes.
"That Ron Trent remix is the epitome of what summer sounds and feels like to me, with its fresh and exhilarating sound," Jordan said in a statement about the reworked title track. "I'm so grateful to this legend for painting a new perspective on one of my favorite tracks," she added, calling the result "another classic."
Disc 1 of the remix series is due August 14, with Disc 2 through Disc 5 following monthly through December, joining the rest of the schedule at the release calendar.
