XS Nightclub will reopen at Wynn Las Vegas on Thursday, November 5, with a four-night run of electronic DJ sets, EDM.com reported. Wynn Nightlife announced the return dates alongside the lineup.
RÜFÜS DU SOL open the weekend with a DJ set on the first night. The Chainsmokers follow, then Calvin Harris, with a Diplo b2b Hugel set closing the weekend. The bill leans on acts with long ties to the room.
The club first opened in 2008 inside the Wynn resort complex and grew into one of the highest-grossing nightclubs in the United States, holding residencies from Avicii, Tiësto and David Guetta across nearly two decades. It closed this year for what Wynn Nightlife described as a complete reimagining, part of a wider run of renovations on the Las Vegas Strip. Venue money has kept moving in the city: Sphere Entertainment's revenue rose 11 percent to $314M on the back of its Las Vegas arena.
Design details have not been made public. A press release said the work would bring refreshed interiors and new technology while keeping the character the room already had, and Wynn Nightlife said more information would follow in the weeks ahead.
The returning acts framed the booking as a continuation. "There's a lot of history between us, and we've seen XS evolve firsthand," The Chainsmokers said in a statement. Calvin Harris said the club had always been one of his favorite places to play in Las Vegas.
Club operators elsewhere are moving the other way. Ibiza is weighing a ban on new dance music nightclub licenses, a limit on exactly the kind of expansion the Strip is still funding. Tickets and VIP table information for the XS weekend are already listed.
