Frost Children have remixed The Peace, and it arrived as half of a two-track drop from Underscores. The other half is a brand new song called Unlimited Love. Pitchfork's Walden Green reported both on August 28.
Unlimited Love may not be entirely new material. Pitchfork points out that it appears to sample the guitar lick from Do It, another Underscores song, which makes it something closer to a rework of existing parts than a clean slate.
The artwork is doing its own work. The single art appears to tease something called after-U, which reads as a hint at a full remix album rather than a one-off, though nothing has been announced.
That reading is supported by the pattern. The Peace is the second song from U to get a remix: at the beginning of the year the South Korean pop singer Yves appeared on a reworked version of Do It, and The Peace also picked up a new music video earlier this month.
Frost Children came to the remix off the back of a busy stretch of their own. They put out two projects recently, the Frost Fest Mixtape, released in tandem with the 2026 edition of their live event of the same name, and an EP called Tweaker Poem.
