It is one of three Slime Language 3 cuts singled out early, alongside Snakes On My Collar and Club Outside.

Young Thug's "Eaters" is the loudest name-check on Slime Language 3, putting Travis Scott, Future, Yeat and Tezzus on a single track alongside him.

HotNewHipHop framed it as the star-studded centre of a 41-track record and left open the question every posse cut invites, which is whether the song is better than the sum of its parts. Readers there rated it 3.50 out of 5 in its first days.

"Snakes On My Collar" was picked out as the other standout. It pairs diamond*, a new signing to the imprint, with the late Lil Keed, and pulls three distinct eras of Young Stoner Life into the same three minutes.

"Club Outside" takes a different route, a straight two-hander with Lil Baby taking the verse while Young Thug handles the hook. It is another turn in a pairing the two have been running for years, and readers rated it the highest of the three.

All three sit on the compilation Young Thug released through Young Stoner Life on August 28, after the album missed its planned midnight arrival. The songs are logged on the release calendar with the rest of the hip-hop autumn, in a stretch that has also brought talk of Quavo signing to YSL and an EP from label signing 1300SAINT.
