Young Thug has put out Slime Language 3, the Young Stoner Life compilation that arrived hours later than the fans waiting up for it expected.

He revealed the night before that the record was coming. At midnight nothing appeared. Thug then said finishing touches were still being made, and the album landed later on August 28 with 41 tracks on it, split into two sides that carry their own cover art.

The guest list is long. Future, Veeze and Travis Scott are the headline names, with Cash Cobain, Lil Baby, Tezzus, diamond*, Sk8star, Yeat, Quavo, Trippie Redd, Mariah the Scientist, Rob49 and the late Lil Keed also on it, alongside a deep bench of newer YSL signings.

One name is missing. The first Slime Language came out in 2018, and 2021's Slime Language 2 was jointly helmed with Gunna, who does not appear here at all. Gunna took an Alford plea early in the YSL RICO case that ran from 2022 to 2024.

Around the release, Young Thug's own album UY Scuti arrived last October, and he recently announced a YSL label tour starting next week with many of the same artists on the bill. Reaction has been mixed: HotNewHipHop's readers had it at 2.08 out of 5 across six reviews shortly after release.

The compilation is logged on the release calendar with the rest of the hip-hop autumn. It follows a busy stretch for the imprint, including Young Thug's push to sign Quavo, Quavo's answer to it and 1300SAINT's YSL EP.
